This collection celebrates the "sanctity of SistErhood", a bond beyond blood and a sacred strength that will NEVER stand alone. If your sister has you then you're GoodT!

The Adinkra symbol highlighted is the Adinkrahene. This symbol is composed of three concentric circles that symbolize unity, continuity, wisdom, and leadership. The Adinkrahene related to sisterhood represents the collective strength, wisdom, and support shared among women. Just as a leader’s wisdom influences those around them, sisterhood radiates love, empowerment, and growth, with each woman’s strength uplifting the group as a whole. The concentric circles illustrate how these bonds expand, nurturing resilience and connection within the community, and fostering a powerful circle of support and transformation.

Ode to Oriki

An oríkì is a Yoruba greeting of the word orí meaning “head” and kì meaning “to greet or praise”. Oríkì includes both single praise names and sentences that may be chanted in poetic form. According to the Yoruba historian Samuel Johnson, oriki expresses what a child is or what he or she hopes to become.


Oriki highlights the rich cultural heritage of Yoruba worship. It involves praising individuals, deities, and other elements of Yoruba culture.


The Ode to Oriki collection celebrates the GoodT and divine attributes of the Orisa.

Use Your Tools

We have All the GoodT Things we need. Our tools will serve us when we serve them. Reciprocity! The tools we highlight in this collection are:

Ori: The Yoruba word for "head" and refers to one's spiritual intuition and destiny.

Egun/Egungun: The Yoruba word for an ancestor(s).

Egbe: The Yoruba word meaning society or groups and refers to our spirit group or comrades associated with us from Orun (heaven).

Orisa: A Yoruba word that can be translated to mean "Owner of the spirit of the head". In Ifa and other African traditional religions, orisa are deities within the tradition such as Orunmilla, Esu, Oya, Sango, Yemoja, Osun, etc.

One of our favorite aspects of this collection is that a few tees were named after our favorite priests. We honor you as you wear the reminder!

Something offered especially: a sacrifice ceremonially offered as a part of worship.


The idea behind making an offering is reciprocity. If we ask the orisa for their guidance we need to give them something in return.


Some common offerings include:
Omi- Water
Oti: alchohol

Epo-Red Palm Oil
Oyin-Honey
Attaare- Aliligator Pepper
Iyo- Salt
Efun-White Chalk

"Dono" GoodT

Dance is healing Medicine. Dance is Prayer! Dance is GoodT!

 

The Adinkra symbol used in this collection is the Dono. The Dono is a type of tension talking drum. It is used to commemorate the celebration of music and DANCE. It is a symbol of praise, goodwill, DANCE, harmony, and rhythm.

 

We pray the wearer of ANY piece in this collection is healed in their mind, body, and spirit with each and every step. Ase! 

 

The Bembe

This collection celebrates the Bembe, a ritual celebration of homage and devotion to the Orisa. The rhythmic power of the drum calls upon the Orisa and their spirit, song, dance, and rhythm to work together for the GoodT of those in attendance. 

Adura Dara

Adura is the Yoruba word for prayer. Prayer is an invocation or act that seeks to activate a connection with a source of worship( God, Ancestors, Orisa, nature, etc.) through deliberate communication. The act of prayers extends to invocation, song, dance, meditation, being in nature, or whatever feels GoodT to you.

Prayer is a powerful tool. We believe it moves through space and time, energizes, shifts, and releases blessings on your life and circumstances. 


Connecting to and showing gratitude toward your sources of worship, praying for yourself, others, and ANY and EVERYTHING is the essence of
Pray it Forward.
